Our goal at Holy Church is to create environments and experiences where you can encounter God in the midst of your life. When you come to Yorktown United Methodist on a weekend, our aim is that you would be inspired by the music, encouraged by the message, welcomed by our amazing community of people & be reminded that God’s grace is here!

Serving the Yorktown Community More Than 160 Years

In 2012, YUMC celebrated its 160th year of ministry. There have been weddings, baptisms, confirmations, professions of faith, funerals, and worship services held both inside and outside the building. People’s lives have begun and ended in this church. Those who came before us led with dignity, vision, perseverance, and faith. The church is more than a recognizable landmark in the community. It is, and has always been, a symbol for reaching out and caring about community concerns and serving the people of Yorktown, Mt. Pleasant Township and beyond.

A Heart After Jesus a new  book from Dave Brooks

The spirit of sisterhood is seen and felt in the fervent prayer of thousands of girls who faithfully uphold nations where injustice and darkness rage out of control. It is seen and felt in young women being inspired by the wisdom and grace of their mothers and the women ahead of them in this journey of life. For insight into the breadth of the Sisterhood.
